We got the World Connect grant.

A couple months ago I was writing grant applications like a crazy woman and organizing social counterparts to develop and support the afterschool program and future library space. Yesterday, I recieved an e-mil stating that one donor in particular has approved the entire amount requested for the afterschool program, and, they can get the money to us in about two weeks! This means that additional donors will be supplying shelving and books for the space we will be meeting in daily to develop a library.

Beyond exciting. There are no words. Thank you World Connect.

However this grant award carries more than rejoicing for me.
It also carries feelings of doubt ad insufficiecy that come with charity. Have I developed this program optimally? Is there enough community support?
Then the what ifs... what if no students show up daily? What if they don´t create the habbit of going to the library daily and it sits empty? What if this program just isn´t a success in raising world awareness and self esteem?

Fortunately my confidence in my research in developing the program, and the community individuals that are excited as well kick my doubts out of my way and I plow on with paperwork and project implementation.

Here we go! Cross your fingers for us!
